Pompey On A Roll

Really nice place to go for relaxing, friendly environment. Two ladies behind the counter who chatted the whole time and made the place seem very homely - like you were having a cup of tea and a sandwich round a friend’s house. The walls are decorated with Pompey memorabilia which is fun to have a look at - I’m not from Portsmouth but found it all quite interesting. Newspapers are laid out on the side so you can just pick one up and have a read. No nonsense style food and drink. I asked for a bacon sandwich and there’s lots of types of bread to choose from, then I had option of adding sausage and egg and asked what type of sauce I wanted - but it’s still excellent value for money even with all this extras and a cup of coffee. The place is clean and you have condiments and extras on your table ready. Lovely place to go if you’re free on a morning and want a nice breakfast.

I love reading reviews and add reviews where I agree. So. Moving on. I Love Pompey on a roll, they do not religiously supply food although its Kosher to me. When buying from the shop they make no references to any higher being but do say hello and goodbye (sometimes saying “sir”) which graces me with a good feeling of faith in mankind. The food is exceptional and served “not by virgins” but by a lovely lady that is married and assisted by her son. (don’t need to be a detective there do you!) After all, if your looking go to this establishment to be greeted by complimentary virgins then I will remind you its only a food course you will receive and not intercourse. I thank you Pompey on a roll for your exquisite food and lovely service and I will visit you more. However, not a bad idea, if you have complimentary virgins to greet your customers then I suppose takings would do very well.

First time visit this week after having gone by without stopping for the last 15 years. Instantly noticed how clean the place was. Lovely, bright and airy too. The food was first class and so tasty too. Prices were very reasonable and the welcome and service provided was second to non. I will be returning.

Very nice lady that runs that runs this and her son makes good eggs lol nice food and thats from us rubbish clearance men like the food is nice thanks. for the best food in portsmouth eat here from us at steptow and sons rubbish clearance

Lovely meals friendly people haven't eaten in yet because of the pandemic but I must say very adaptable people keeping to the rules as best they can Swift service and good prices
